Similar to Catnip, Catmint is lower growing and is less potent than it's cousin, Catnip. It contains the same chemical as catnip but in a weaker form. No cat ought to be deprived of the joys of a close encounter with this plant. Attractive in a container or garden, with a soft haze of lavender blue flowers and fine blue-grey foliage from late Spring to late Autumn. Cats become seriously silly around Catmint - playing in the plants and eating young leaves as one of nature's diet treats. An undemanding, but very pretty garden perennial garden plant.
